EUROPEAN DAY

Europe is developing a very active policy towards cinema, and Belgium is strongly involved. In view of the Belgian presidency, it seemed interesting to present a portrait of this cinema across several meetings and from different perspectives, in the course of one day.

A conference, a master class as well as film screenings that received the support from the Media programme and Eurimages.

4 pm: Conference “The Belgian presidency and cinema“ – Studio 1

Organized in collaboration with Media Desk Belgium and the European Parliament (Lux Prize).

5 pm: Master class of Jaco Van Dormael (Mister Nobody) - Studio 1

7 pm: Cocktail homage to Jean-Claude Batz, under the banner of the ARRF, the SACD and the European Parliament (Prix LUX)

8.30 pm: Preview screening of “Within the Whirlwind” by Marleen Gorris – Studio 4

10.30 pm: Open Air screening of the film “Les Barons” by Nabil Ben Yadir – Ste Croix Square
