The film chronicles the relationship between an old sailor and a teenager who finds it difficult to fit in society. For various reasons their paths cross at the rest home, from where the old sailor escapes in order to reach the village where he was born. Together with the old sailor’s granddaughter, the teenager joins the old man on his journey.
