Antoine et Quentin, des frères jumeaux, quittent la maison de leur père pour assister aux funérailles de leur mère en Espagne. Parce qu'ils n'ont pas d'argent, ils se voient obliger de voyager à pied ou en auto-stop. Au début du film, il est presque impossible de les distinguer. Mais au fil de leurs rencontres, la distinction entre les deux se fait plus facilement, tant au niveau de leur physique qu’au niveau de leur caractère. Le voyage se transforme en une bataille constante pour s’approprier une identité et une sexualité propre. La constante confrontation avec son double finit par éloigner les frères de plus en plus. Finalement, Antoine et Quentin, auparavant inséparables, arrivent à un point où, pour imposer leur identité, découvrent qu’ils sont capables d’actes cruels... Ce road movie est le portrait intime de deux frères jumeaux à la recherche de leur propre identité.

De tweelingbroers Antoine et Quentin verlaten het huis van hun vader om de begrafenis bij te wonen van hun moeder in Spanje. Omdat ze geen geld hebben, doen ze de reis te voet en al liftend. In het begin van de film is het haast onmogelijk de twee van elkaar te onderscheiden. Maar gaandeweg de reis, naar aanleiding van ontmoetingen, beginnen ze zich meer van elkaar te onderscheiden qua fysiek en qua karakter. De reis draait uit op een constant gevecht om zich een eigen identiteit en seksualiteit toe te eigenen. De voortdurende confrontatie met de genetische kopie van zichzelf zorgt ervoor dat ze uit elkaar groeien. Uiteindelijk komen Antoine en Quentin, vroeger onafscheidelijk, op een punt waarin ze, om hun eigen identiteit af te dwingen, ontdekken dat ze in staat zijn tot gruwelijke handelingen… Roadmovie, intiem portret van tweelingbroers op zoek naar een eigen identiteit.

Antoine and Quentin, twin brothers, leave their father’s house to attend to the funeral of their mother in Spain. Without any money, they hitchike and travel on foot. At the beginning of the film it is almost impossible to separate the two. But throughout the journey, as a result of encounters with others, they become more distinguishable in terms of physical appearance and character. The journey evolves into a constant battle to claim their own identity and sexuality. The constant confrontation with their double makes them grow apart. Eventually, Antoine and Quentin, formerly inseparable come to a point where they discover that, to enforce their own identity, they are capable of acts of cruelty ... Road movie, intimate portrait of twin brothers looking for their own identity.
